The 110m Emerald Azzurra made quite the splash when she was launched in Vietnam in early 2022. Built for Emerald Cruises this is a ship that took less than two years for construction and is now plying global routes with 1st season itineraries including the Adriatic, the Med and the Red Sea. A ship that has seriously rocked the worldwide ultra high-end boutique cruise market. Perhaps not quite a superyacht as we know them as these are 100 pax vessels but it is hugely interesting to see that Vietnam is building projects like this so well and with such speed and efficiency.

There are 4-5 yards in Vietnam that offer the size, scale and automation for totally efficient production and with the right help and guidance could be producing true superyacht quality.
